Building The Future

A very nice crowd-funded project by a New York based group of architects, designers and developers. It’s about an art-installation that simulates a city of plants with possibilities to interact. It’s all about the change we interact with nature in future and to use the positive effects of plants improving our lives totally. Therefore these guys try to connect technology with nature for the future of smart cities. The technical equipment is based on Arduino (Had a great workshop over at the GuggenheimLab some weeks ago) and the cloud, which is controllable over apps via mobile devices like the iPhone. Unfortunately I’m a little late, because the project is already founded via Kickstarter, but it’s awesome to see that they accomplish their raising goals. For more information jump over to the project.
Btw.: The iPhone app looks great!
